In Part II of an Indie Excellence Workshop Series that began September, 2012 at SCWC
in Newport Beach, veteran romance & mainstream fiction writer Laura Taylor and
her co-presenters, mystery/suspense writer Claudia Whitsitt and international thriller
writer Dennis Bowen, will address the necessity of skilled editing prior to publishing.

This Indie Excellence Workshop – Legitimacy & Editing will overview the self-editing
process, describe how to define one’s editorial needs, provide the details of an editor’s
involvement from content to line edit and everything in-between, itemize the qualities
a writer should look for when engaging the services of an editor, and share the
benefits (and any pitfalls) of working with an editor when writing a series. A question
& answer period will follow.
