Going Foreign: Wtg. the Reality of Diplomatic Service
Going Foreign is a workshop intended for writers who feature international intrigue in any guise or context and are seeking authenticity. Think of it as “Foreign Service 101,” as it will provide the relevant basics of how US diplomatic missions are staffed and organized, to include the responsibilities and authorities of the principle characters. Designed exclusively for writers, this workshop will include the official definitions of various entities and functions to be found on the diplomatic circuit, as well as the informal patois that defines the difference between outsiders and insiders. Does your character need a visa? Come to Going Foreign and find out.
