Author, literary fiction

jacketReina Menasche’s fiction has been recognized by organizations such as the San Diego Writers and Editors Guild, the San Diego Book and Writing Awards, and the Southern California Writers Conference. Her first novel, Twice Begun, is available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon. Professionally, she has spent twenty years as a masters-level social worker working with issues of family conflict, addiction, mental illness, and life transitions. With her school counseling credential, she has also worked with children of divorce, a topic that appears in her novel. Currently living in San Diego, Reina is Treatment Coordinator for Volunteers of America Southwest, where she facilitates psychosocial groups, trains staff, and writes curricula. She is also Faculty Advisor and Lead Faculty at the University of Phoenix, teaching Counseling, Psychology and Human Services class. She believes that therapy is good for people—and even better for fictional characters.
